Kevin Taffe

Kevin Taffe is a long-time farming resident of Big Stone County. He is the fifth generation of Taffes to live on the original Taffe family homestead in the township of Toqua since the family immigrated from Ireland. Kevin’s daughter, Jennifer, works on the family farm and represents the sixth generation of Taffes working the land here in Big Stone County, while Kevin’s son, Shawn, lives and works in the Fargo, ND area as an electrician.

Kevin enjoys snowmobiling and riding and rebuilding motorcycles, in addition to football and basketball. He believes that it is important to enhance the local economy and to capitalize on clean, non-toxic fuel here at home through participating in community-based new energy production technologies. He says, “Producing energy from the wind is like an additional crop to local farmers.”
